About my Still Life Work...
I always paint my still life objects from life, never photos. However I often place the images in imaginary places. I find that I have used the concept of windows since my very first oil paintings. Often the still lifes are in front of windows looking out to a place where I have been or would love to go. Sometimes it may be unclear if the "window image" is indeed a window or another painting on the wall.
